So Big Hero 6 posters are out and there's a bit of controversy around. I'm not a fan of the original comic so my knowledge is a limited to the internetz but I'd like to comment a bit about that.
- In general I like the designs, they're attractive (in a stilized way) and colorful
- It seems like Wasabi no Ginger was originally an asian old man bended into a buff black dude. I don't find it too bad since it may have been to equlibrate the cast, there's already GoGo Tamogo and Hiro Hamada who are both asians (even though the second in a more anime way) so a black character wouldn't be a bad adittion
- What the hell happened to Fredzilla?? I mean, have you seen the original guy? He looks freaking BADASS and now he looks like some comical relief/cute pet from a kids movie
oh wait thats this is suposed to be? - And last but not least the principal topic at the moment: yes, Honey Lemon does look like Rapunzel. I have seen a lot of people saying it doesn't or that they don't care she does and it gives me mixed emotions, people defending the undefendable
Well that's it, that are my thoughts, I don't know how this will come out but surely I won't watch this movie. Is not really my kind of movie thought but surely I'll be checking the concept art, I can't deny it looks great.
Lastly I'd like to say, I really don't like when the studios don't make adaptations and change a lot of stuff, making it something not at all like the original. Why do that? Why not just make a movie inspired by other thing? Just because you want to cater to the fans of the original one, even though you are making something completly different?
